I. Project Overview of Zhejiang Guanyu Baibu Phase I Plant Renovation Project:
Zhejiang Guanyu Battery Co., Ltd.’s project for an annual production capacity of 10GWh power batteries is located in the Baibu Economic Development Zone (Baibu Town), Haiyan. The main structures of Phase I, including the production workshop, office building, and R&D/testing workshop, have been completed, and exterior wall and interior renovation works are underway. Inside the power battery production workshop, seven production lines are undergoing orderly equipment debugging, with production scheduled to commence in the fourth quarter of this year.
With the rapid rise and continued prosperity of the new energy vehicle market, demand for power batteries has surged significantly. Governments and enterprises are accelerating their investment in the power battery industry. The Guanyu project, signed and established in the Baibu Development Zone, represents a total investment of 5.8 billion yuan. Once operational, it is expected to achieve annual sales revenue of over 10 billion yuan and has already been successfully listed as a Particularly Major Industrial Project of Zhejiang Province.

“Investing in Haiyan is the company’s ‘second venture’,” said a representative from Zhejiang Guanyu Battery Co., Ltd. Although production bases have already been established in Zhuhai, Guangdong and Chongqing, the company made a strategic decision to set up a manufacturing base and innovation R&D center in Haiyan, Zhejiang. Once completed, this site will not only serve as the innovation hub for the company’s power battery division but also its main production base.
As one of the key new energy and new material projects in Haiyan, the local government attaches great importance to its construction. In addition to building apartment facilities, full efforts are being made to meet the company’s needs for energy, electricity, and steam. After multiple rounds of communication and plan revisions, the company’s 110kV dedicated power line has completed civil works and tower erection, with cable laying currently in progress. It is expected to be energized by March this year. Furthermore, two 10kV backup power lines are already supplying electricity to the company, and a third 10kV line is being laid. The steam pipeline has also been installed and is ready for use.
